Praying Five Times A Day

Share

Written by Joseph Ali

Every day I take out my prayer mat that guides me on what to do. The mat says

the words that I say when I pray. As a beginner, the mat helps guide me through
the steps on how to pray. Now I will be telling you why it is important to pray five
times every day.

We pray 5 times a day because we honor God to follow his commands. I try to
remember that God is always listening and watching. Fajar: you get to start your
day talking to God. Duhur/ Asr: To make sure to never forget about God in the
middle of the day. Maghrib: It is like I am relaxing time at the end of the day. Isha:
I like to talk to God about my sorrow and happiness before I go to bed. Every day
when I get back from school, I will pray for the ones I missed. When I have a lot of
homework, I must pray five prayers at once. This is one of the five pillars that I can
do as a twelve-year-old Muslim. I feel connected to my community when I go to
the Mosque to do my prayers It helps me channel my anxiety, and when I feel
stressed. What I will tell my fellow Muslims is to go to pray with your parents or
get a mobile app to tell you when it is time to pray.

In conclusion, we learned that praying five times a day is important because we
honor God all the time. We also learned that the five prayers are Fajar, Duhur,
Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. Also, the church is for Muslims is called a mosque. That is
why it is important to pray five times a day.
